Dear Pricklers,

Autumn has hit. Woohoo! Woohoo!

It’s my favorite time of the year too. I love the cooler temps because I love wearing jeans, a hoody, and my boots. Still got my black jeweled ones and my knee-high brown boots, but I might actually pull out a pair that they call cognac in color. Okay, on a serious note, love the leaves. Miss seeing their beautiful colors in the fall. And my other favorite thing to do is dress my lawn geese, Goosie and Gander. After all, the 4th of July is over now, so probably should put them in more appropriate clothes, right?

Okay, okay, so fall clothes and boots aside, the fall season is a favorite because of the pumpkins. No, no, not to carve, but to eat. That’s right. When September hits it’s pumpkin everything! Woohoo! And just between you and me, my favorite drink is expresso with pumpkin cream and a shot of cinnamon whiskey. But hey, that’s not every day. Now the expresso and pumpkin cream is, just not the cinnamon whiskey. That’s my Friday night treat.

The Past …

‡ Treasuring Whiskey’s Salvation… Got 2 chapters done of the 25 needed. Ugh! Hopefully NaNoWriMo will give that kick in the caboose to get this done… either that or get more coffee!

The Present …

‡ September 24th – All ready for the North Coast Book Expo. Yikes! That’s tomorrow!

‡Signed up to help with the election process. Went to training for it today. Doing the civic duty thing. How about you? And yes, they do know about the blindness. Figured they’ll need someone to pass out the “I voted” stickers.

‡ Hey, depending on when you read this, it might not be too late to still join the Facebook Group “Isn’t it romantic” for your chance to win books, swag, and other cool stuff. Doesn’t end until the 24th.

The Future …

‡ October 10th — Podcasts Live interview with Peter Okonkwo. This should be fun, but terrifying. Have you listened to Peter? He’s fantastic.

‡ October 28th – Knives Out Movie night – Group of local authors plan to watch the movie and break it down to practice building a novel. Should be hilarious unless popcorn runs out. Yikes!

‡ November 11th — Massillon Public Library Book Signing 12 pm to 3 pm. This will be this author’s second appearance and it’s rumored that Max Willi Fisher is planning to attend. Yay!

‡ November 1st — NaNoWriMo starts! Hopefully will get most of Treasuring Whiskey’s Salvation written. Hahaha!

With September nearing its end, only two months of fall left. What do you plan to do for the next 2 months? Me? Trying to lose another 10 pounds. Already lost 15 and in order to fit into my Halloween costume those inches have got to go. I’d love to hear from you and hey, maybe I’ll use one of your stories in book 4 or 5.
